    Last year I purchased a bank cheque from Westpac Bairnsdale Branch and paid for it with cash (both cheque and payment for the cheque). I walked out of the Westpac Bank and took the bank cheque to a business owner for payment. He was in his office so I handed the bank cheque to him whilst he was on the phone. I left his office believing that the bank cheque would be credited to our account. January 2016, the business owner informed us that he 'had not cashed the bank cheque'. Either the bank cheque has been cashed and Westpac would have to hand over the money to another bank or the money is sitting in Westpac Bairnsdale's account. No investigation has been forthcoming from Westpac.
